View the G-ON4 PRO Schedule InstallationResolution alone does not determine whether footage will provide useful evidence. Sensor quality, HDR processing, low-light performance, storage reliability, camera placement and power integration all affect what a dash camera captures during an accident, hit-and-run, theft or parking incident. The G-ON4 PRO is engineered around those details.
The front camera records the road at 3840 × 2160 Ultra HD, while the rear camera records at 1920 × 1080 Full HD. Both channels record at up to 30 frames per second to preserve important detail during everyday driving and fast-moving incidents.
Sony STARVIS 2 imaging technology is designed to provide stronger sensitivity and image quality in difficult daytime and nighttime conditions. It gives the G-ON4 PRO a genuine premium imaging foundation instead of relying on a resolution claim alone.
Real HDR helps balance intense highlights and deep shadows that can overwhelm lesser cameras. This improves usable detail around headlights, backlighting, tunnel entrances, direct sunlight and nighttime traffic scenes where the brightest and darkest areas appear together.
A 150-degree front viewing angle and 140-degree rear viewing angle provide broad coverage around the vehicle while limiting the severe edge distortion associated with excessively wide lenses.
Proper placement of both cameras is essential for capturing the most useful view without unnecessarily obstructing the driver or allowing trim, defroster lines and other vehicle components to interfere with the recording.
When correctly hardwired and configured, the G-ON4 PRO can continue protecting the vehicle after the ignition is switched off. Available parking functions include motion recording, impact-event recording and one-frame-per-second time-lapse recording for extended surveillance.
Built-in Low Battery Protection can stop parking recording at a selected voltage to help prevent excessive vehicle-battery discharge during extended parking.
Online marketplaces are filled with inexpensive cameras advertising 4K resolution, night vision, Wi-Fi and parking monitoring. The G-ON4 PRO is designed as a serious automotive-surveillance platform with Sony STARVIS 2 HDR imaging, H.265 video compression, front-and-rear protection, intelligent parking surveillance, low-voltage protection, high-temperature testing and GNET's proprietary JDR recording system.
H.265/HEVC compression stores high-resolution video more efficiently than older H.264 compression. GNET's JDR file architecture adds automatic memory-card recovery and self-formatting designed to promote dependable everyday recording.
Connect a compatible smartphone through the included Wi-Fi dongle to view live camera video, review recordings, download important clips, adjust supported settings and obtain firmware updates through the GNET app.
The included Wi-Fi dongle provides a local smartphone connection to the camera. Remote GNET withCLOUD operation requires separate compatible cellular or router hardware, network service and configuration.
With compatible optional cellular or router equipment, network service and proper configuration, GNET withCLOUD can provide remote functions such as live streaming, GPS tracking, driving statistics and geofencing.
Cloud hardware and network service are not included with the standard camera package. The included Wi-Fi dongle alone does not provide continuous remote cloud access.
GNET PC Viewer supports detailed video review with frame-by-frame playback, zoom, thumbnail and interval searches, video export and supported map synchronization. An optional external GPS receiver is required for GPS-based location, speed and supported ADAS functions.
Professional installation is more than attaching two cameras to the glass. Access 1 provides vehicle-appropriate integration and verifies the entire system before delivery.
Installation starts at $150 and varies by vehicle. Certain luxury, exotic, European, electric, hybrid and other vehicles requiring additional disassembly, wiring or integration may require additional labor or vehicle-specific parts.
