Clifford 7211X 2-Way LED 1-Button Remote Control

The Clifford 7211X is a genuine 2-way LED 1-button remote control originally supplied for compatible Clifford Responder One remote start systems. It was also compatible with select Python and Viper systems using the same 7211-series remote platform.

Clifford 7211X Remote Control Information

The Clifford 7211X is a 2-way LED 1-button remote control designed for convenient remote-start operation. Compatible systems can provide audible and visual confirmation when commands are successfully received.

The 7211X was part of Directed's Responder One remote-control family and shares compatibility with several Clifford, Python and Viper remote-start systems.

Genuine Replacement Remote

The Viper 7211V is the current genuine replacement for the discontinued Clifford 7211X. It is manufactured for the same compatible Directed remote-start platform and provides the same basic 2-way LED 1-button operation.

Changing from a Clifford-branded 7211X to the Viper 7211V does not require replacing the entire remote-start system when the installed system is compatible.

Clifford 7211X Programming Instructions

1. Make sure the remote start system is disarmed and the status LED has been off for at least 60 seconds.
2. Open the driver's door.
3. Turn the vehicle ignition to the ON position.
4. Within 10 seconds, press and release the system's valet/programming button once, then press and hold the button. The status LED will flash and the horn or siren may provide confirmation that the system has entered remote-pairing mode. Continue holding the programming button.
5. While continuing to hold the programming button, press the START button on the 7211-series remote. The horn or siren should provide confirmation that the remote has been learned.
6. Release the programming button, turn the ignition OFF and allow approximately 60 seconds for the system to exit programming mode.
7. Test the remote. A compatible 2-way remote should provide audible and visual confirmation when the command is received.

Replaced by the Viper 7211V

The discontinued Clifford 7211X has been superseded by the Viper 7211V 2-Way LED 1-Button Remote Control. The 7211V is the preferred current replacement for compatible systems originally using the 7211X.
