Viper 7347V — 2-Way LCD Remote The 7347V is the primary 4th-generation 2-way LCD remote. Its display provides visual and audible confirmation of supported commands and system status from compatible Viper and Directed systems.
Viper 7147VS — 1-Way Companion Remote The 7147VS is the matching 1-way security companion remote. It provides convenient control for another driver, additional key set or backup without the LCD display of the primary remote.

2-Way LCD Remote Plus 1-Way Companion Remote

The 7347V and 7147VS are a natural remote-control combination for compatible Viper 2-way security systems. In fact, Viper systems such as the 3308V were originally supplied with one 7347V 2-way LCD remote and one 7147VS 1-way companion remote.

Use the 7347V as your primary remote when you want 2-way command confirmation and system-status information. Keep the 7147VS with another set of keys, give it to a second driver or keep it available as a backup.

Both remote controls are brand-new genuine Viper products from the original manufacturer — not aftermarket reproductions, used remotes or reprogrammed returns.

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY INFORMATION:

Remote-control compatibility is determined by the security / remote-start system and receiver / Control Center installed in the vehicle, not by the vehicle's year, make or model.

If a Viper 7347V previously operated your system, you already know the 7347V portion of this bundle is compatible with your installed system.

The 7147VS is the security-system version of the 7147 companion remote. If you are replacing a different remote or purchasing this bundle for a remote-start-only application, verify the installed system and receiver / Control Center before ordering.

Compatibility can depend on the actual system model and receiver / Control Center installed in the vehicle. If you are unsure, identify your existing remote-control or system model before ordering.

Viper 7345V Remote Control Programming Instructions

The Viper 7345V must be paired to the security or remote-start system installed in the vehicle before it can be used.

The correct programming procedure depends on whether your installed system is a Security + Remote Start system or a Security Only system.

IMPORTANT — LOCATE YOUR PROGRAMMING BUTTON FIRST

Depending on the age and configuration of your system, the programming button may be located in one of two places:

  • Separate Valet / Program Switch: Older installations may have a separate small push-button switch hidden underneath the driver's side dashboard.
  • Control Center / Antenna: Other systems use the programming button incorporated into the windshield-mounted Control Center / Antenna.

Both buttons serve the same programming purpose in the routines below. Use whichever programming button is installed with your system.

SECURITY + REMOTE START SYSTEMS — 1 BUTTON PRESS
  1. Door: Open a vehicle door and leave it open.
  2. Key: Turn the ignition key to the ON position. Do not start the vehicle.
  3. Choose: Within five seconds, press and release the Valet / Program button or Control Center / Antenna button one time.
  4. Hold: Within five seconds, press the same programming button one more time and continue holding it. The LED will flash one time and the siren will chirp to confirm entry into remote programming. Do not release the button.
  5. Transmit: While continuing to hold the programming button, press the LOCK button on the Viper 7345V. The siren will chirp to confirm that the remote has been programmed.
  6. Release: Release the programming button and turn the ignition key to OFF.
SECURITY ONLY SYSTEMS — 7 BUTTON PRESSES
  1. Door: Open a vehicle door and leave it open.
  2. Key: Turn the ignition key to the ON position. Do not start the vehicle.
  3. Choose: Within five seconds, press and release the Valet / Program button or Control Center / Antenna button seven times.
  4. Hold: Press the same programming button one more time and continue holding it. The LED will flash seven times and the siren will chirp to confirm the selected programming channel. Do not release the button.
  5. Transmit: While continuing to hold the programming button, press the LOCK button on the Viper 7345V. The unit will chirp to confirm that the remote has been paired to the receiver.
  6. Release: Release the programming button and turn the ignition key to OFF.
NOTE: If the system does not enter programming mode, first verify that you are using the correct programming button for your installation. Some vehicles have the Valet / Program switch hidden underneath the dashboard, while others use the button on the windshield-mounted Control Center / Antenna.

Programming Complete

After programming is complete, turn the ignition OFF and test the Viper 7345V by locking and unlocking the system. A properly paired 2-way remote should provide confirmation from the compatible system.
